Beneficiary services are just the beginning of what CAN can do for you. Support, care, hope, and understanding help play a significant role in the everyday lives of our beneficiaries. Listed just below are some of the services provided and the links to the applications and paper work you will need to get started.
- You must be a Collier or Lee County, Florida resident for a minimum of 1 year and show proof, such as a drivers's license, lease or mortgage papers.*
- Provide a photo ID.
- Be in active chemo or radiation therapy with cancer.
CAN provides financial assistance with rent / mortgage payments, insurance, food, car payments, gas, household utilities and much, much more.
CAN helps with referrals and resource assistance and CAN provides links to local support groups, library and literature resources and helps you connect with local agencies and government programs.
CAN does not pay medical or legal bills and does not pay for prescription drugs.
When information is received in the CAN office an interview with our Cancer Resource Navigator will be scheduled to establish the individual and family needs.
Resource information and a CAN introduction package will be provided to the applying beneficiary.
One of CAN's most important functions is to provide for the needs of individuals in our community dealing with cancer. In almost every case, these issues would remain unattended be it not for CAN's assistance.
